Providing a place where children can explore their 5 senses while interacting with nature, the Sensory Garden aims to be completely inclusive. The space was designed to be used by children with disabilities or special needs. Smooth and wide paths lead to interactive installations that are all safe to touch and eat. There is also a sound garden and visual aid boards.
The Sensory Garden can be found behind the Community Gardens at the Rawhiti Domain in New Brighton, a suburb of Christchurch.
