Punakaika Pancake Rocks

Formed 30 million year ago, Punakaika Pancake Rocks are one of the most curious geological oddities that New Zealand has to offer. Enjoy some spectacular views, fantastic birdlife and marine animals on = as your journey to the rocks takes you through some stunning New Zealand forrest. This 20 minute walk gets you up close to the rocks and (if lucky) you might even experience a surge of water blast through one of the natural blowholes.

Accessiblity

With the exception of an optional short section with steps, the walk is fully sealed and smooth making it perfect for manual and power wheelchairs.
