Long Bay situated on the North Shore in Auckland, offers a sandy swim-safe beach, with a bustling village feel.
It has gently sloping access ways to the beach, and a Variety Children’s Charity Playground designed for limited mobility access. There is also a coastal walk that is partially accessible. There are accessible car parks near each of the three toilet blocks.
You can hire a Beach Wheelchair from Beach Wheels for use on Long Bay and any of Auckland’s beaches. The cost is $50 for a half day, and pick up is from 1001 Beach Road, Torbay – a short 300m from Long Beach. Contact 021 533 659 or email [email protected]
