Tokerau Beach, Beach Wheelchair

The Tokerau Beachboys, in Kaitaia have a beach wheelchair for loan. Gary and Mary, originally from Hawaii, teamed up with the Halberg Foundation to bring surfing to people of all ages with disabilities, and also have available a beach wheelchair.  To find out more details and to book give them a call on 09 4067790 or email them on [email protected].

There are also well-equiped changing rooms available at the surf life-saving club. There is good access to the beach with the use of the boat ramp.
