Port Hills

From bush-clad gullies to rocky outcrops with magnificent views, Port Hills offers a diverse range of environments to explore. Located just outside of Christchurch, these hills offer a range of walking tracks (some of which are accessible). View striking views of Christchurch City, Canterbury Plains, the Southern Alps and Lyttelton Harbor. There are also multiple parks, reserves, historical sites and picnic lookouts which can be accessed by car for those who are looking for a less strenuous way to see the sights.

Both the Tawhairaunui Trail and Lamar Track are accessible.
