We can highly recommend the dinner, even though it’s a bit pricey; the alternative is driving back down to town, and back up to the castle, in the dark! We are very thankful that we treated ourselves to a very special dinner in the castle. The following morning, after an outstanding breakfast, we even went to the very top of the castle, which is a difficult climb even for some people who can handle stairs. I just kept thinking to myself, “one step at a time,” and eventually made it to the top. A nice view of the Otago Peninsula and the castle garden was our reward.”
