“At the Bay of Islands we visited the treaty grounds where they were so accommodating they were asking if I required the ramp into the meeting house while it was being put down! We did a boat tour to the hole in the rock with Fullers Great Sights they suggested we did the longer tour to the rock as they use a bigger boat which would be better for me. We wanted to see the dolphins and they said we would still see them, in fact we saw them twice. There was an option to stop off in Russell on the way back and take the ferry back to Paihia. There was a big pillar in the way but the captain of the boat worked hard to dock in front of it to allow us access. As a result we also had a lovely meal at the Duke of Marlborough Hotel which was also accessible.” -Jane L
